Invited in Lisbon from a friend of a director for his film work, Philip, German engineer, arrives in Portugal from Germany. But there is no trace of his friend. Makes friends with some kids and falls for a singer, while wandering around the city recording sounds. Lisbon Story (Wim Wenders - 1995) would be only one documentary about the commission, instead turns into a delightful film, Wenders-style, including views of Lusitanian capital, small portraits of everyday life, Pessoa's poems and the music of Madredeus. The members of the Portuguese folk group, who achieved international acclaim thanks to the film, also participate as actors. Too bad not having seen the original: the Italian version, despite the use of subtitles on many occasions, can not fully appreciate the meeting between the languages \u200b\u200bof the different characters. Worthy of note are the titles: short segments along the highways of Europe without borders outline the journey of Philip on board of an old Citroen, which leaves only a few kilometers from the destination, while the music and radio voices speak in tongues are always different. specifically dedicated to Federico Fellini, but also a closer look at Keaton, Vertov film and art.
